NCERT · Class 6 · Chapter 11

Panchayat Path

Travel from your village to the district headquarters, answering questions on Grassroots Democracy — Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samiti and Zila Parishad — as you go.

How to play

You're a young Bal Panchayat member trying to understand how villages govern themselves. Answer questions correctly to move up the three tiers of the Panchayati Raj system.

  • 1Three stages: Gram Panchayat (village), Panchayat Samiti (block), and Zila Parishad (district). Six questions each.
  • 2Each correct answer lights a diya and earns Vikas Points. Wrong answers put out a diya — but the journey continues either way.
  • 3Between stages, meet a real Panchayat hero from the chapter.
