NCERT · Class 6 · Chapter 12

Ward Watch

Patrol the city as a young Ward Watcher, learning how Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats keep towns and cities running.

How to play

You're a Ward Watcher, checking that every part of the city — big or small — is being governed well. Answer questions correctly to move through three kinds of Urban Local Bodies.

  • 1Three stages: Municipal Corporation (big cities), Municipal Council (mid-sized towns), and Nagar Panchayat (smaller towns). Six questions each.
  • 2Each correct answer turns a signal green and earns Civic Points. A wrong answer turns it red — but your patrol carries on regardless.
  • 3Between stages, read a real City File — a fact about how urban India is actually governed.
